The EP is being released in memory of the group’s former drummer, James Badger, who passed away in November, 2020. The band members were fortunate enough to record bed tracks with James prior to his passing. However, it took over 2 years to finish the recording and mixing. As the band’s steel guitarist/vocalist Tom Hammel notes, “After James’ passing, we were in limbo and not sure what to do, the motivation to complete the album just wasn’t there. In the end, we realized that it’s what James would have wanted us to do, so we finished the album in his honour”.
